November 2, 1920Total votes cast: 134,391. On adopting the proposed city charter. Four-sevenths majority needed for passage.
Referendum passed. On establishing a system of pensions for city employees. Simple majority required for passage.
Referendum passed. The Special Committee on Canvassing Election Returns noted 1) that the election judges of Ward 10 District 7 submitted no returns on either proposition and, 2) that the total vote of Ward 12 District 9 on the pension system was officially 832, while the total number of votes cast in the district was 721. The committee were advised by the City Attorney that the Council had no authority to force election judges to change the returns.
